The world economy is powered by energy. Reducing resources and climate change as a result of the severe environmental impact  from the continued use of fossil fuels has prompted a growing interest in renewable energy sources and the search for sustainable energy policies.

Changes needed to move from a hydrocarbon-focused economy to the use of renewable energy resources require considerable scientific research and the development of new engineering systems. Policies and energy management are of paramount importance for the development of sustainability and must be in line with recent advances in energy production and distribution. This conference aims to come up with solutions to these future green energy requirements, giving insight into the challenges and key solutions faced by the energy industry to move towards a circular economy.

This event is part of a series of 8 sector consultations in the 8 regions of Romania. The results of these meetings and workshops, concluding with the European conference, aim to shape a strategy such that by 2030 Romania will be a circular economy leader in Central and South Eastern Europe.
